How to Right-Align a Nav Bar in Bootstrap 4

Making the header nav-bar (or any nav-bar for that matter) right-aligned in Bootstrap 4 is not as simple as it used to be in previous versions of Bootstrap, but even though that is the case, there’s still not much to it.

There are two classes that you need to add to accomplish this:

  1. Add .justify-content-end to your .navbar-collapse <div>.
  2. Add .align-items-end to your .navbar-nav <ul>.

That’s it! Here’s an example and then a code play area in Codeply to play around with:

<nav class="navbar navbar-expand-md navbar-dark bg-dark fixed-top">
      <a class="navbar-brand" href="#"></a>
      <button class="navbar-toggler" type="button" data-toggle="collapse" data-target="#navbarsExampleDefault" aria-controls="navbarsExampleDefault" aria-expanded="false" aria-label="Toggle navigation">
        <span class="navbar-toggler-icon"></span>
      <div class="navbar-collapse collapse justify-content-end" id="navbarsExampleDefault">
        <ul class="navbar-nav align-items-end">
          <li class="nav-item active">
            <a class="nav-link" href="#">Menu Item</a>
          <li class="nav-item">
            <a class="nav-link" href="#">Menu Item</a>
          <li class="nav-item">
            <a class="nav-link" href="#">Menu Item</a>

Disable Auto-Play on Videos is one of my favorite sites to visit and not only because I’m a sports fan, but also because they spit out some amazing web work. The one annoying thing that they (and most other sites) do is to auto-play their videos. Now, most times their videos have something to do with the article, but sometimes there are videos that lend no additional information to the article and are just there to boost ad revenue.

Thankfully, provides a simple way to disable auto-play on their site globally and it only takes two clicks.

Steps to Disable Auto-Play on

  1. Click the SETTINGS cog icon (bottom-right, immediately to the left of the FULL SCREEN icon).
  2. Click the AUTOPLAY slider to ensure that the selector is to the left.

You’re done! Now you can read their high-quality content without having videos forced upon you.

How to Fix iTunes Skipping Songs in Apple Music

iTunes suddenly skipping over songs on my Apple Music account has been a source of major frustration for me recently. It appears that one of the latest updates caused issues with authorized devices on Apple ID accounts. Here is the quick fix to stop the song skipping in Apple Music/iTunes:

  1. Open iTunes
  2. Select ACCOUNT in the menu bar.
  3. Hover over AUTHORIZATIONS menu item.
  5. Enter in APPLE ID challenge information.

That’s it. That will get back up and running. Please note that I can verify this works on macOS High Sierra. I’m not sure if it will work on other versions of macOS (I would be surprised if it did not work) or on Windows (who ever knows with Windows).

Good luck!
